Remove loose grit
Rinse or wash sandy and gritty contamination before spot treatment. Avoid rubbing dry debris across paint, gelcoat or graphics.
Koenig’s RV application specifically includes bugs, bird droppings and scuff marks. Start with loose-contamination removal, then use controlled wet applications rather than aggressive dry scrubbing.

Apply Koenig to a manageable section or clean towel. For dried bug or bird residue, give the wet product time to soften surface contamination before wiping.
Work the residue or scuff gradually. Repeat the wet application if necessary instead of immediately moving to a harsh abrasive method.
Use a clean microfiber towel for the final buff. Check whether any remaining mark is still contamination or actual staining, etching or finish damage.
Fresh front-cap contamination is easier to address than residue that has baked onto the surface for an extended period.
Remove promptly. Acidic contamination can leave etching or staining that remains after the material itself is gone.
Surface transfer may polish away; scratches through paint, gelcoat, graphics or coatings require a different repair decision.
