Marine hardware application

Salt film, water spots and dull hardware can make an otherwise clean boat look neglected.

Koenig is used on compatible stainless steel, chrome and metal boat hardware to clean surface buildup, restore shine and leave a protective finish.

Use Koenig like this

Rails, cleats, ladders, fittings and other compatible metal hardware.

01

Rinse salt and grit

Fresh-water rinse loose salt, sand and gritty contamination first, especially around joints and fittings.

02

Apply lightly

Use a controlled amount of Koenig on a clean towel or manageable section of hardware.

03

Work the buildup

Wipe water spots, fingerprints, grime and light staining with controlled pressure. Replace a dirty towel rather than spreading residue.

04

Buff to a clear shine

Use a separate clean microfiber towel until the metal is even, clear and free of visible residue.

Hardware condition

Cleaning and polishing cannot replace corrosion repair.

Water spots & salt film

Address these early so surface buildup does not remain on highly visible hardware longer than necessary.

Light staining & dullness

Test a small section and work conservatively before treating the entire rail, fitting or chrome surface.

Pitting & corrosion

Physical corrosion, failed plating or deeply pitted metal may require repair, refinishing or replacement rather than additional polish.
